Katy Perry: The pop singer/songwriter becomes the tenth solo female in the Hot 100's 52-year history to concurrently place two titles in the top five as a lead artist, as her former six-week No. 1, "California Gurls," featuring Snoop Dogg, rebounds 4-3 and "Teenage Dream" jumps 9-5 with Digital Gainer honors (185,000 downloads sold, up 27%). Perry continues to prime the Aug. 24 release of her second Capitol Records album, "Teenage Dream," as a fourth charted song from the set, "Circle the Drain," arrives at No. 58 (50,000 downloads). Last week, fellow preview track "Not Like the Movies" began at No. 53; this week, that song disappears from the list following a 76% decline in downloads.
