PCD Reunion?

It seems like every other day, another group links back up for a reunion!

Just last week, while Nicole Scherzinger released her new solo single, she also spoke out about her hopes for a Pussycat Dolls reunion!

We recently caught up with Robin Antin, the founder and creator of the Pussycat Dolls, to get her thoughts on the girls possibly getting back together!

Robin stated:

Quote:
“The Pussycat Dolls were one of the greatest female pop groups in the last 10 years, our fans are so loyal and want more… so of course I feel very positive about it! I've spoken to ALL 5 girls and they all feel the same!”

So, are there any hard feelings between the girls since the split in 2010?

Antin insisted:
Quote:

“Absolutely not. When you have five girls, living and breathing 24/7 together, there will always be some sort of conflict! No one is to blame… but truth is, they all loved each other, like sisters.

As for Nicole’s previous claims that she sang 95% of the PCD vocals, Robin stated that that was just “a number she threw out there” and that she meant no harm!

Robin also mentioned that all the girls are proud of each other and that with Nicole judging X Factor UK, that’d be a GREAT way for the girls to perform together once again!

That is, IF a reunion ever occurs!

We’ll keep our fingers crossed!

In the meantime, it sounds like Robin is working on creating ANOTHER girl group right now, which is set to launch soon!

After a 5 and a half year hiatus from their music, Aly and AJ have finally begun preparations to release their debut album as 78violet, starting by shooting the music video for the album’s lead single “Hothouse”. The girls began shooting for the video earlier today in Santa Barbara, CA. The stylist, hair stylist, and makeup artist for the shoot have been posting pictures all day of the girls looking stunning in their Rad and Redefined dresses, posing with the American flag, and walking through a deserted dirt road.

Nicole Scherzinger: Lewis Hamiltons Music Sounds Amazing

Nicole Scherzinger has shed some light on boyfriend Lewis Hamilton's music career, stating his new material "sounds amazing."

During his spare time, the F1 ace has been hitting his personal studio to try his hand at being a popstar, with Scherzy telling Capital FM: "He loves music.

"He's always loved music since he was young and he plays the guitar so he's been recording some tracks, doing his thing for fun. It sounds amazing."

The X Factor judge continued: "I mean, I don't get to hear much of it because they're in the process of it and I want to be respectful and give him his creative space."

She went on to add that Lewis has been ignoring critics who have already slammed his musical venture, telling the radio station: "Everybody's free to do music or something, a hobby or what they love, so I do nothing but support him. You can't listen to the haters out there.

"I mean, if he wants to record some songs and be creative then there's nothing wrong with that. Me getting in a car trying to drive really fast? Now that's scary!"

Scherzinger also hit the headlines today (24th January) after wearing a sheer black dress to the National Television Awards last night - which exposed her breasts.

Didn't even know he could sing? Laughing Question

The Wanted to try new styles?

English-Irish outfit The Wanted are seemingly fed-up with their boyband reputation - and have revealed via Twitter that they’ll be taking on a new direction with their next album!

The band have found fame across the globe in the past couple of years, having seen their second album ‘Battleground’ go platinum here in the UK, and their singles reaching the Top 10 in North America.

But now, ahead of the release of their highly-anticipated third album ‘The Third Strike’, the band have revealed on Twitter that they’re going to write something completely different from the stuff on the record - and ‘see what happens’.

Who knows what the boys have got in mind - we could see the results of their writing sessions really soon, and we may never even get to hear it. We’ve heard that they’re rock fans, and dubstep seems to be the popular choice for pop artists to branch out too (although they usually suck) - what style would you like to see them take on? Let us know in the comment section below.

One place you may catch them performing something new, though, is their newly-announced show in Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre this June. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Saturday 25th January) at 9am.

TMZ:Beyonce has lip-synced at the Presidential Inauguration

Kelly Clarkson doesn't compare to Beyonce -- because Kelly actually sang her song LIVE yesterday at the Presidential Inauguration ... unlike Beyonce, who lip-synced to a pre-recorded track.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Marine Corp Band -- which provides the music for the Inauguration -- tells TMZ, Beyonce mouthed the words to a pre-recorded studio version of "The Star-Spangled Banner."

But the rep added, Kelly sang "My Country 'Tis of Thee" without the help of a backing track.

The rep said it's standard procedure to record a backing track before a live performance such as this -- you know, just in case -- and Bey decided at the last minute to rely on the studio version instead of winging it in person.

The rep added, "We all know Beyonce can sing ... We don't know why she chose to use the pre-recorded track."

Selena Gomez Interview from Nylon Magazine

Quote:

On Love & Bieber

Selena Gomez's words are coming back to haunt her. Before she and Justin Bieber -- her on-and-off boyfriend of two years -- called it quits for good just before New Year's, the Monte Carlo actress optimistically addressed their roller coaster romance in the February issue of NYLON (on stands Tuesday, Jan. 29).

"I'm having fun," the 20-year-old starlet said coyly. "At the end of the day, love is such a normal thing, and everyone deals with it. Just because it's a different lifestyle doesn't change the meaning of what I've been raised on, which is fairy tales."

Gomez may find her happy ending -- but it won't be with Bieber, 18. Luckily, her fellow unlucky-in-love pal Taylor Swift, 22, understands what she's going through. "We both experienced the same things at the same time," Gomez said. "But we've never once talked about our industry. She just became the person I'd go to for an issue with my family or boyfriend. It's so hard to trust girls, so I'm lucky to have her."

On Spring Breakers

"I definitely felt that with my first stepping-out role, I should choose something that I could understand a little more. I was really nervous, but Harmony took a chance with me," Gomez told NYLON. "He said, 'You live in this bubble, and I'm going to take you out of it, but you have to trust me.'"

The former Disney Channel star is eager to explore more mature roles, but she hopes to do so without alienating her target audience. "I've told parents, 'Make sure you don't let your kids see Spring Breakers,' because with the title, you could think it would be cute or something," she said. "I know it isn't for the younger generation I have following me, but I'm also about to be 21. I felt like it was my little side project that I was super excited about, that would be under the radar."

Carrie Underwood Interview

Quote:
Carrie Underwood graces the February cover of Allure magazine. In it, she discusses family, follows up on her comments to the UK’s Independent supporting marriage equality, and talks about how she avoids wardrobe malfunctions. You can check out a slideshow of pictures and quotes from the interview at Allure.com. Here are some highlights:

In June, Underwood came out in favor of gay marriage. “As a married person myself, I don’t know what it’s like to be told I can’t marry somebody I love,” she told a British newspaper. She elaborates: “I’m in favor of acceptance,” she says flatly. “And I am a Christian person, and I do love the Lord, and I feel no matter who you are, what you believe, how you live your life, it’s not my place to judge. I don’t have that power. I don’t want that power. It’s my place to love and to show God’s love to other people, even if they don’t live a life like I live. So that’s where I’m coming from.”

Underwood takes her career seriously. “My mom had a job, and she also took care of us, and she also took care of Dad—I always saw her pulling triple duty, doing more than I ever felt like she needed to,” the singer recalls. “I made a promise to myself that it would be more of a team effort in my family someday. And because of that, I became more independent. But it was tough figuring out what kind of guy would work with what I did.”

Underwood is proud to say that “underneath every skirt, every dress, I’m wearing shorts. So that everyone in the world knows, if I ever fell down, nobody would get a peek at anything.” And usually the shorts are a different color from her onstage outfits, “so that everyone knows they’re not seeing my undergarments.” Grinning, she waits a beat. “So sad….”

Love every word she said.  I am starting to become a serious fan of hers.

The 32-year-old singer/reality star/style maven will star in an NBC pilot, produced by Universal Television and Electus, inspired by her own life.

“We are thrilled to team up with the multi-talented Jessica Simpson to bring this new sitcom to life on NBC as she is truly a modern-day Lucy with incredible comedic chops,” said Ben Silverman, Founder and Chairman of Electus, said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “From running a fashion empire to wrangling her public image as a new mom, we see Jessica’s character approach a variety of ‘everyday’ circumstances that will get audiences laughing out loud.”

The “Fashion Star” star is looking forward to putting parts of her own life on the small screen.

“I am so excited to work with Ben and NBC again, this time on a scripted comedy,” Jessica said in a statement. “I often find myself thinking that no one could ever make up the things that actually happen in my life — so between the real life elements and a great team of writers, I think we’ll have people laughing!”

In addition to her reality show, “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica” with ex Nick Lachey, Jessica appeared on the small screen in “That ‘70s Show” and in a guest spot on “Entourage.” Her big screen acting credits include 2005’s “The Dukes of Hazzard.”

JT does open letter and reveals name of the album

An Open Letter to you (the fans):

I hope this gets to you the right way. It's the only way I know to do it. Some people may criticize me for the last 3 days. But it was fun, right?? Right?!?! Besides, I'd rather speak directly to all of you. And, who can knock me for having a little bit of fun with it?

Well... No more teasing. Although, it was A LOT of fun. (Did I mention that I'm having fun with this?? Ha!)

*Makes a serious face*

So, here goes:

This year is an exciting one for me. As you probably have heard through the "grapevine," I'm gearing up for a big 2013.

Back in June of last year, I quietly started working on what is now, my next journey with that thing I love called MUSIC.

The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn't expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I've had in my career... Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process.

What I came up with is something I couldn't be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I've discovered along the way.

I'm calling it "The 20/20 Experience," and it's coming out this year.

I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.

That's all I'm giving you for now... I know, I know! Again, with the teasing!!!

Get ready. This is going to be fun (well, at least it is for me).
Justin

If it's anything like the first single I won't be buying it.  I hope i'm wrong though.

Ciara opens up about Basic Instinct poor sales

The new year promises a new album from Ciara, but first, she looks back on her journey to stardom on MTV’s “This Is How I Made It.” In the 10-minute episode, the Atlanta singer reflects on the highs and lows of her career, her childhood, and her idols (Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, and Sade).

In high school, she ran track and did cheerleading, but her true passion was singing and dancing. She joined the girl group Hearsay before auditioning for L.A. Reid and getting signed to Arista Records. She recalls recording her debut single “Goodies,” which was originally titled “Cookies.”

“I was 17 years old so I really wanted to make sure that I spoke from the place that hopefully other young girls would identity with,” said CiCi.

The song hit No. 1, but Ciara was already thinking about her next hit. “I was so determined to just keep getting better,” she said.

But with the ups comes the downs. A honest Ciara opens up about the low sales of her 2010 album Basic Instinct.

“It’s definitely a little punch to the heart when something like that happens,” she said. “However, those are the moments that define you. I learned a lot not having the best days. I definitely didn’t think about quitting.”

Now Ciara is taking her experiences and channeling them into her new album One Woman Army. “I’ve got some scars, I done crashed a few times. When you learn to embrace those scars, you become stronger.”

She still has a long way to go. “I’m far from where I wanna go, but I’m excited about the journey ahead,” said an optimistic CiCi. “I wake up every day doing exactly what I wanna do and there’s no better feeling than that.”

I definitely wish her success.  She deserves it.

New ADELE album this year

Adele, who returns to the spotlight tonight with an appearance at the Golden Globe awards in Los Angeles, will be back in the studio next month – with a new album out by the end of the year.
The singer, right, has barely been seen in public since the birth of her son in October, and hasn’t appeared on a stage since she accepted five Grammies last February.
A source said: ‘The past few months of motherhood have been blissful for her and she has used these emotions and experiences to write new songs.
‘She is really excited to get in the studio next month to start recording.’
Adele, 24, is also tipped to perform her Oscar-nominated Bond song Skyfall at the Oscars ceremony in LA on February 24.

Review Connor Maynard- Take Off

Rating- 9.5/10

Review-  This song is straight up amazing.  The beat is amazing, and the lyrics are great, and the delivery is great too.  My favorite parts are when he says the countdown is about to start then you actually hear a countdown starting.  No other song that I know about actually do that.  then once again the ad libs at the end are really really great.  The only reason I haven't given it a 10/10 is because i don't know how it's going to sound when I workout or listen to it in my car.  I remember having is amazing song that sounded amazing on my computer but when I listening to at the gym/car it was somewhat disappointing.

Holy Britney News

Britney has been a very busy womans lately.

She split up with Jason

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick have broken up ... TMZ has learned.

The couple got engaged back in 2011. Trawick started out as Britney's agent, the duo started dating and he eventually became her co-conservator along with her dad, Jamie Spears.

Multiple sources connected to the couple tell TMZ ... Jason didn't want to make the announcement until he was taken off the conservatorship. Interestingly, lawyers for the conservatorship are in court right now, along with Britney's dad, Jamie Spears, so it's possible Jason will be removed today.

Sources say it was a "friendly breakup" and Britney and Jason will remain friends. As for why they split, we're told they just "grew apart."

The timing's pretty interesting considering Brit recently changed agencies, heading to CAA ... an indication Trawick was no longer involved in managing her career.

UPDATE:

Unwritten wrote:
Jason Trawick has just been removed as Britney's co-conservator. Jamie Spears is now her sole conservator.

UPDATE #2:

PEOPLE.com wrote:
"Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement. I'll always adore him and we will remain great friends." - Britney Spears

"As this chapter ends for us a new one begins. I love and cherish her and her boys and we will be close forever." - Jason Trawick

She is NOT returning to The X Factor

Britney Spears wrote:
“I’ve made the very difficult decision not to return for another season. I had an incredible time doing the show and I love the other judges and I am so proud of my teens, but it’s time for me to get back in the studio. Watching them all do their thing up on that stage every week made me miss performing so much! I can’t wait to get back out there and do what I love most.”

She is working on her 8th album

REVIEW Juliet Simms- Wild Child

Today i will be reviewing Juliet Simms- Wild Child

Rating- 9/10

Description:

I really really love this.  The beat is fresh and more organic than some other songs and that is something that is currently missing from the market.  The lyrics are fun and her delivery is insane on the song espically when it hits the breakdown.  Also, the adlibs that the end are amazing (I am a sucker for great adlibs).  The only thing that was annoying to is the million million thousand gazillion parts.  Other than that is song is pop perfection.

More reviews coming later today/this week.

E3 Gets signed to Columbia records

Drew Chadwick of Emblem 3 reveals in an interview at Supercross that the boys record deal with Columbia will be announced soon. Record label talk begins at the 3:15 mark.

“Our record company,Columbia records, they’re announcing the signing on Monday,” said Drew, “They’ve moved us into a nice apartment in Burbank. We should be recording every day until we get out first single done. We should be doing a mini-tour –it’s not finalized yet–but we’ve been talking doing the mini tour in South America and Brazil. We’ve got a lot of fans out there.”

“Basically, after the show was over, you have a window of time where people are still interested,” said Drew, “We gotta hit it hard.”

The group is already making some dough. Emblem3 tweeted yesterday, “We just made our first ten grand on Itunes! Thank you so much to everyone who bought our songs when they werr up! I cant wait to hangout!”

Congrats to them but in honesty they are a little bit douche but their is good and I think they will go far.  They irk me a little bit.

Nicki Minaj Extends Lead As Fastest Selling Female Rapper

Nicki Minaj Breaks UK Chart Record / Extends Lead As Fastest Selling Female Rapper

Sometimes, in the confused ‘hoo ha’ that is her handling, it’s easy to overlook what Nicki Minaj has achieved since the release of her debut album ‘Pink Friday‘, now three years ago.

Now, in the event the world had forgotten her standing as the commercial Queen of Female Rap, she’s broken a chart record that sees her surpass feats scored by each and every Female Rapper alive.

After breaking the record for being the highest charting Femcee in UK history in March, she now extends that record by becoming the highest selling Female Rapper by way of her sophomore album ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ and its lead single ‘Starships‘.

All this, while breaking a record that sees her surpass chart contributions made by any performer, of any genre last year.

So how did she do it?

Well, with 864,000 units sold in the country, ‘Starships’ is the now best selling song to not peak at #1, after enjoying a peak position of #2- selling enough units to land her spot in the nation’s Highest Selling Singles Of The Year tally, as seen here.

Helped in part by its Anthony Mandler directed video, the single’s success now makes the ‘American Idol’ judge the only Femcee in chart history to have two or more singles in the country’s Year-End singles chart and an album in the album’s tally, with ‘Reloaded‘ selling 242,000 units in the nation.

A cool feat, considering the size of the UK market and her lack of promo presence in the nation, where her dance anthem ‘Pound The Alarm‘ peaked at #8 and her Dr. Luke produced ‘Va Va Voom‘ hit #3.

At present, ‘Roman Reloaded’ now boasts global units of 1.4 million copies shifted since April, peaking at #1 in Canada, the UK, Scotland, #3 in New Zealand and #9 in Norway.

Catch Nicki on ‘American Idol’ when it airs January 16th, on Rupert Murdoch’s FOX Network.

Paramore is coming back

After surviving two years of turmoil and turnover, Paramore will return on April 9 with their self-titled fourth album, and, from the sound of things, they've got something to prove: "Making this album was a rediscovering of ourselves," they recently wrote. "It was a process that allowed us to liberate ourselves as musicians, singers, and people." The liberation begins with first single "Now," which heads to radio this month.

Nelly Furtado doesn't want to make pop music anymore.

Quote:
As Nelly Furtado prepares to hit the snow-covered road for the Canadian leg of her "Spirit Indestructible" tour beginning Jan. 8, the B.C.-born singer says she's taking a detour from the North American pop scene to head in a more mature direction.
The 34-year-old mother had been away from the spotlight for the much of the past six years — a not inconsequential time away considering her first hit "I'm Like A Bird" came out in 2000 — but her hands haven't been idle. Furtado released a Spanish album in 2009 and has kept herself busy supporting various global causes that are near and dear to her, including Free The Children's initiatives to improve the state of education for girls around the world.
In September, Furtado released her fifth studio album The Spirit Indestructible. The record explores themes of nostalgia, personal growth, and even the Arab Spring in a song titled "Believers," displaying a clear lyrical departure from her 10-million-selling 2006 album Loose's rowdier club jams like "Promiscuous Girl" and "Maneater."
In an exclusive interview with HuffPost Canada Music, Furtado talks about why her songs don't sound the same as they once did and what she hopes to give her fans moving forward.

Shame but I still wish success towards her new music style (whatever that maybe).

Brian McFadden to release new album

Brian McFadden has today announced he will release his first UK album in almost eight years, titled the 'The Irish Connection', to be released through BMF Records/EMI on March 11th. 'The Irish Connection' features Brian’s interpretations of some of the very best in Irish songwriting and showcases the strength and versatility of Brian’s voice.

Each track was personally chosen by Brian and range from artists such as Snow Patrol, The Cranberries and Damien Rice to Enya and Van Morrison. Ronan Keating and Brian team up to duet on U2’s epic 'All I Want Is You' – the album's focus track. Brian will also be joining Ronan on his ‘Fires’ tour, which begins on January 16th in Bristol and includes a landmark date at London’s O2 Arena.

The album features phenomenal Irish talent Sinead O’Connor as she joins Brian for the Irish classic ‘Black Is The Colour’ to create their own hauntingly beautiful version. Classic rocker Christy Dignam completes the line-up on Aslan’s own ‘Crazy World’. Produced by both Brian and his long time co-producer Robert Conley, the album was recorded in Dublin and Sydney.

Brian says: "This album is something I have wanted to do for a long time. Ireland has produced some of the greatest songs in history and I decided I would put my own twist on a collection of my favourite ever Irish songs."

'The Irish Connection' tracklisting is as follows:

1. Black Is The Colour (feat. Sinead O’Connor)
2. All I Want Is You (feat. Ronan Keating)
3. 9 Crimes
4. Dreams
5. Crazy World (feat. Christy Dignam from Aslan)
6. No Frontiers

8. Chocolate
9. Moondance
